What an incredible Festival of Culture we experienced on Wednesday! Our students showcased their talents across dance, song, poetry, craft, fashion and cookery - embracing and celebrating the beautiful diversity within our school community. We wanted to share two poems written by our talented student poets that capture the essence of this special celebration: Culture Day One by Charvy in Year 7, and the other by Tumi in Year 10. Reminders that our differences make us stronger, and our shared experiences unite us. Thank you to all students, staff, parents, and community members who made our Festival of Culture such a meaningful celebration! Photos will be released shortly so keep an eye out for the album. What a special day we had yesterday as we bid a fond farewell to our incredible Year 11 students! Yesterday marked their official Leavers Day, and the corridors were filled with laughter, a few tears, and plenty of shirt-signing! While their journey with us isn't quite complete, yesterday was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all they've achieved during their time here before they focus on their upcoming exams. Year 11 students will now follow an amended timetable until the end of their GCSE examinations. Students should: * Only attend school for their lessons when they have outstanding exams in that subject. * Arrive in school uniform; blazers are not required. * Sign in at Reception to start the day, and sign out when leaving. * Try our breakfast for Year 11 students on exam mornings. It would be great to see you! A huge thank you to all our teachers who have worked tirelessly to prepare these young people for their exams, and to the parents who have supported them every step of the way. We're incredibly proud of how our Year 11 group have grown during their time with us, and we can't wait to see them shine in their exams. In a first for the Academy, two of our students - Sam, Year 12, and Himal, Year 10, represented the Academy in the Buckinghamshire Schools County Championships last month. The weather was challenging and both played well. Sam shot a score of 77 in the Handicap competition and Himal shot a score of 72 in the Scratch tournament. Himal has now qualified for the south England championships with the opportunity to qualify for the England team later in the year.
