Principal’s Blog 25th June - The Hazeley EU Referendum

The Hazeley Academy was pleased to conduct its own school EU referendum on the 23rd June, led by Chris Leroux the Principal Boy and supported by a contingent of sixth form representatives. Principal's Welcome

ZTN photo Nelson
Welcome to the Hazeley Academy The Hazeley Academy opened its doors to a small cohort of students in 2005 and is now an established successful Secondary school and Sixth Form with over 1500 students aged 11-18. We are proud of the consistently excellent examination results achieved at Hazeley and work hard to ensure students also gain the personal qualities of Character, Confidence and Creativity needed to make a success in adult life. We measure this success not only on academic results but on what Hazeley students go on to achieve after leaving the academy.

Partial Opening of the Academy on Tuesday 5th July 2016

Dear Parents/Carers, Following on from our recent School Comms, this email updates and confirms the status of the academy this Tuesday 5th July 2016. As you may be aware the National Union of Teachers has announced they will be taking action in the form of a one day strike on Tuesday 5th July. The dispute is between the Union and the Department of Education. In order to open safely we have decided that the Academy will remain open for Years 7, 10 and 12 and Y6 transition The academy will be closed for Y8 and Y9 students only. Work will be provided for all Y8 and Y9 students on Monday, (copies will also be placed on the academy website). This will focus on the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. This not a decision I have taken lightly and without serious consideration and appreciation of the disruption this may cause. Yours sincerely, Mr T Nelson Principal
