Trips Update

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night about avoiding non-essential travel, we have taken the decision to cancel all upcoming trips between now and June; this includes local trips within Milton Keynes and also out of county trips.

We know this decision will be disappointing for some people, but it has been made with the understanding that this is best for all concerned.

Specific trip updates

  • We have contacted parents/carers of students due to attend the Year 10 Kenilworth trip on 27th April to advise that the trip has been cancelled and that payment will be refunded in due course.
  • The Year 8 Bushcraft Residential on 22nd June 2020 is currently on hold.  We will await further guidance from the Government and Department for Education.

Foreign trips

For our foreign trips to Nice (Years 9 & 10 - scheduled for 30th June); Zanzibar (World Challenge - scheduled for 4th July) and Berlin (Year 10 - scheduled for 7th July), the Foreign & Commonwealth have advised against non-essential global travel for the next thirty days  so we will wait for further advice after this time period.  https://www.gov.uk/government/news/travel-advice-foreign-secreatary-statement-17-march-2020

We are working closely with tour operators with regard to these three foreign trips and thankfully have time on our side with departures not planned until end of June.  When there is clearer guidance and information, please rest assured we will update you.

Hazeley+ and  Additional Cost Enrichment Clubs

Any students that usually participate in chargeable extra-curricular clubs, please be advised that these have been postponed with immediate effect. Any remaining classes will continue at a later date which will be confirmed in due course.

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Kind regards,

Mr Healy

Deputy Principal
