Thank you, thank you and thank you.

Hazeley has enjoyed the smoothest, most enjoyable and purposeful start to an academic year that I can recall in over 20 years.

Key to this success has to be the amazing support from parents, helping to ensure that students have their summer homework completed, uniform expectations are met and students arrive on time. This makes a huge difference and ensures students are ready to learn from the moment they enter the building.  This in turn allows staff to focus on making the lessons purposeful and fun.  Hazeley really is about working together.

If you have not already noticed then you soon will that we are placing a much greater emphasis on the role of the form tutor. Our aim is to ensure that every child builds a great relationship with their tutors so that they can be supported both academically and pastorally and allowing them to really enjoy being part of the Hazeley community. There will be more information about this drive and other key initiatives at the Welcome to the Year Ahead Events. Dates can be found on the Academy Calendar LINK.

One of the highlights of the week for me has been speaking to the new Year 7 and Year 12 students; it is truly amazing how their faces change from displaying anxious excitement at 8.40am to showing happiness and focus by the afternoon of their first day.

Finally don’t forget Extracurricular Clubs and Activities start from Monday. These can be accessed here.
