Peripatetic Guitar Teacher (self-employed) – June 2017

The Hazeley Academy is looking for a talented and dynamic self-employed Guitar Teacher. You will be joining a successful team of independent, self-employed tutors to develop music as an extra-curricular activity as part of our continued commitment to our 3C values of developing Character, Confidence and Creativity within our students.

Our vision is to provide the best possible music tuition for our enthusiastic pupils. Lessons are usually taught during school hours but this could be negotiable. You would be expected to manage all administrative functions including invoicing parents directly and all fees agreed with the academy, and in line with other Peripatetic charges.  You may be delivering 1:1 lessons or small group work.

The post is ideally suited to an energetic, enthusiastic, dynamic and visionary musician who wants to work with talented young people,teaching classical and rock/pop styles.

The Hazeley Academy is a highly ambitious of school of over 1450 students aged 11-19 which enjoys an exceptional reputation in the community.   Our vision is based strongly on nurturing our students to possess confidence creativity and a well-rounded character, rooted in care for self, others and their environment.

The Hazeley Academy seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Head of Year to join our high-performing school. The successful applicant will be passionate about the pastoral and academic progress of young people.  We are purposely not attaching a particular subject specialism to this role as we are looking for someone who has the passion to develop the character, confidence and creativity of our students.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivating individual with a love of English which will transfer to our students. English is an extremely popular subject at the academy both in KS4 and KS5. You would be joining our supportive and driven Literacy faculty which includes MFL, EAL and the Library. We welcome applications from all experience levels including NQT’s and aspiring English teachers, including those with English as a second subject.
The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of teaching across all key stages, including exam groups
  • Have a love of their subject
  • Have high regard for their learning environment and resources
  • Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and an ambitious teacher, who will ensure good progress for all students
  • Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students
  • Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning
