 Afternoon Receptionist

15 hours per week term time only + INSET Days

Mon, Weds & Fri: 1.00pm-4.30pm

Tues &Thurs: 12.45pm – 3.00pm

(15 hours to be worked across INSET Days)

Grade 3 – £6006, 40 – £6207, 06 actual salary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and customer service focused person to join the Academy’s central administrative team.

As the first point of contact for stakeholders both by phone and face to face this is an extremely important role. The Reception team deal with varied enquiries which includes receiving visitors to the Academy using an electronic system; answering incoming calls via the main switchboard; administration of the enquiries and reception email inboxes; managing meeting room bookings;  management of the reception area to ensure a professional appearance at all times and any other adhoc administrative activities as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within a client facing /customer service environment; have excellent communication skills, both in person and over the telephone; be well presented and act as an ambassador for the Academy and have knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.

 Teaching Assistants Required

30.5 hrs per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)

Salary: Grade MK4 – £12,416 – £13,918 (actual salary)

 We are looking to recruit temporary Teaching Assistant’s to work under the direct supervision of the Excellence Department to support access to learning for children with mobility, learning or social and communication difficulties. Your role will include working with a number of children in lessons or on a 1-1 basis which may include pre-teaching or recapping skills already learnt. You must enjoy working with children and be able to relate well to both students and adults and want to make a difference to the lives of our young people. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with children with a SEN need and/or an understanding of the support they will need to succeed in a mainstream secondary school.

A vacancy has arisen for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our fantastic team.   We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic person to support the smooth, efficient and safe running of the school by providing supervision for all the pupils on school premises during lunch breaks.

Experience of working within a school environment is desirable however not essential for the role.

The Hazeley Academy is a highly ambitious school and we are looking for an enthusiastic and approachable individual who is committed to establishing high standards of behaviour, attendance, work ethic and progress within the sixth form. As part of an extended Sixth Form team, you will support the leadership team in order to maximise the progress and achievements of the Sixth Form students.

Duties may include:

  • Establish productive working relationships with students
  • Provide one to one sessions with students
  • Engaging with parents/carers and supporting students with attendance, punctuality and pastoral issues
  • Investigate any incidents that may occur and follow the appropriate procedure
  • Ensure students are using their time purposefully

The working hours are Mon-Fri 10am – 2pm.  However, this may be negotiable at time of interview.  Therefore, if you are unable to work these hours, please state in your letter of application, what working hours you require.

  • Be AAT or equivalent qualified (Level 3 and above preferred) and able to produce accounts up to trial balance

  • Have the ability to work under pressure and be highly resilient

  • Be willing to be flexible with working hours to respond to academy needs.
