We are currently recruiting for:
Netball and/or Basketball Sports Development Manager
LOCATION: The Hazeley Academy
Salary: £17,208 – £27,216 dependent on experience
We are looking for an excellent coach who has experience in inspiring, coaching and leading teams to success to join our high achieving sports faculty as we embark on a new venture of establishing a netball and/or basketball academy. Our long-term vision is to create something special, a Sixth Form Netball and Basketball Academy that attracts the best players in the area to compete at a national level. The Academies will be supported by the talent development programmes at primary school level. We have high aspirations of upgrading our existing sports facilities that comprise a modern sports hall, gym, pavilion clubhouse and external courts by building a dedicated two court, sports hall with a seating area for 800 spectators. There is the potential for the role to grow as the academies develop, making this an ideal appointment for someone with long-term vison who will receive the full backing of our PE team, Senior Leaders and Governors. This post will require some teaching of other core PE activities
Our ideal candidate will possess drive, ambition and be relentlessly dedicated to partnership work and equal opportunities.
Although not essential, the ideal candidate will:
- Have a Level 3 or above coaching qualifications in netball and/or basketball or QTS status
- Be experienced, and had success in coaching players at county level or above and have knowledge of sports development
- Experience of working with the 11-19 age group
- Be committed to partnership working

Teaching Assistants Required
30.5 hrs per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)
Hours of Work: 08.40am – 3.15pm Mon-Fri
Salary: Grade MK4 – £13,198 – £14,286 (actual salary)
We are looking to recruit temporary Teaching Assistant’s to work under the direct supervision of the Excellence Department to support access to learning for children with mobility, learning or social and communication difficulties. Your role will include working with a number of children in lessons or on a 1-1 basis which may include pre-teaching or recapping skills already learnt. You must enjoy working with children and be able to relate well to both students and adults and want to make a difference to the lives of our young people. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with children with a SEN need and/or an understanding of the support they will need to succeed in a mainstream secondary school.
We are in the position to offer one three day a week contract in addition to full time contracts. Therefore, please specify whether you are applying for a full or part time post on your application. We are unable to offer alternative start and finish times.
