Responsibilities & Expectations – The Central Role of the Board of Directors
The Hazeley Academy has a Board of Directors whose legal responsibility it is to make sure that the Academy has an effective safeguarding policy and procedures in place and monitors that the Academy complies with them. The Board of Directors should also ensure that the policy is made available to parents and careers if requested. It is also the responsibility of the Board of Directors to ensure that all staff and volunteers are properly checked out to make sure they are safe to work with the students who attend our Academy and that the Academy has procedures for handling allegations of abuse made against members of staff (including the Principal) or volunteers.
