Off-Track Parents Evenings
‘Off-track’ Parents evenings use the progress review data to further support students that are not making the required progress. When analysing the Progress Review data, we are able to identify a small group of students in each year group who are dipping below their potential in a number of subject areas. In order to support getting these students back on track, progress leaders will be inviting them and their parents, by letter, to meet the appropriate staff at the year group’s Off-track parents evening.
If you have not heard from the Academy prior to the date of an off-track evening then you can assume that your son or daughter is working hard, and achieving at or above their expected levels/grades, and so will not be required to attend the Off-track evening. Please see this as a strong indicator that your son or daughter is doing well in their subjects; although you are always encouraged and welcome to contact their subject teachers individually, should you have any areas of concern over the course of the year, either before or after their scheduled standard Parents Evening. Teachers will respond to your concerns in the usual manner.
