Has your child forgotten their lunch or their lunch money?
The Hazeley Academy has a policy whereby no student goes without a lunch.   The current system allows a student to come to the Finance Office and collect a “lunch slip”.  The slip allows them to go overdrawn until the next day, when the money has to be repaid.  This system is intended for emergencies only.

Students will be provided with a lunch, but it will consist of a basic cheese/ham/tuna sandwich and a piece of fruit in a lunch bag the maximum value of the basic lunch is currently £1.60.  By limiting the choice, we believe this will discourage misuse of the system, whilst still providing lunch for genuine emergencies.

Parents are reminded that card payments can be made to your child’s lunch account over the internet via “ParentPay“.  If you require your login details, please contact the Finance Office.

 

Parent Pay is the preferred method of paying for student lunches. Parent Pay can also be used to pay for school trips and saves the student having to bring cash into school.

If your child needs help with budgeting, you can impose a daily spend limit or restrict what your child can purchase.  Speak to any of the Finance Team who can advise you further.
If you are in receipt of Free School Meals, please contact the Finance Office who will be only too pleased to assist you with this.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR FREE SCHOOL MEALS (FSMs)?
Free School Meals are available for eligible families.  This is a legal entitlement and we would encourage those of you that are entitled to apply for your child/children.  The Hazeley Academy has its own executive chef and the daily choice of meals is healthy, varied and interesting.

How to apply
If you would like to apply for Free School Meals, please ask at the Academy office for an application form or click here for a copy of the form.  Further information and frequently asked questions (FAQs) about FSMs are contained within the application form.  A copy of the Academy’s information sheet can be found here.
