English Speaking Union Competition

English Speaking Union Competition

Isabella, Nana, Alice, Millie, Carla and Megan in year 9 gave impressive performances as they took part in the English Speaking Union competition. They worked in two teams on the debate topics ‘No one should have the right to own a gun’ and ‘Be a vegan and  save the world’.

These students really went above and beyond in terms of their planning, preparation for their speeches and representing their school.

Both teams did extremely well despite being very nervous and they competed against Shenley, Ousedale and Malcolm Arnold Schools in the regional heats.

Well done to our partner school Shenley who won with an outstanding performance!
