Schools4Life
Schools4life is a National Scheme, which has replaced Healthy Schools. Over the last term and a half, the academy has been working towards achieving the foundation award. This entailed working students and staff identifying areas across the whole academy, where we are looking after our health and happiness. On 1st February 2012 the Academy was awarded with their certificate, after successful completion of the foundation award. This is a great achievement; The Hazeley is one of only six schools in the UK that have achieved the award, and are the only secondary school to have done so.
On 1st February 2012, The Hazeley hosted the presentation ceremony, with representatives from all the successful schools and the Schools4Life Panel. Four of our students, Amber Jannetta, Susan Bettis, Keira Hamilton and Callum Bowler, presented to the audience their views and thoughts on Well Being at Hazeley. Pictures and Videos of the day can be seen at the following website http://www.schools4life.org.uk/
The Academy will now work towards the next award, this will involve identifying areas we can further improve, to move Well Being and the students Health and Happiness forward.
